The Warehouse Worker processes incoming and outgoing freight, maintains accurate inventory levels, and supports account growth by working closely with internal teams. This role involves physically receiving, storing, packaging, labeling, and shipping products while safely operating warehouse power equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic jacks.
Responsibilities
- Process shipping and receiving documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Physically receive freight, verifying quantities and condition of goods upon arrival.
- Store and organize products in designated warehouse locations to maintain order and accessibility.
- Package and label freight according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Prepare and ship orders, ensuring correct items, quantities, and documentation are included.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of inventory levels through careful handling and record-keeping.
- Operate warehouse power equipment, including forklifts and hydraulic jacks, to move, load, and unload materials safely.
- Support the development and growth of assigned accounts in coordination with sales and management by ensuring reliable and efficient warehouse service.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when handling materials and operating equipment.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to support an efficient warehouse operation.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating warehouse power equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic jacks (required for PITO roles).
- Ability to accurately process shipping and receiving documentation.
- Proficiency in inventory handling, including receiving, storing, and tracking products.
- Skill in picking, packaging, and labeling orders to meet quality and accuracy standards.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving, and stacking freight.
- Strong attention to detail to maintain inventory integrity and avoid errors.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and equipment operating procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior forklift operation experience for roles requiring powered industrial truck operation (PITO).
- Comfort working in a warehouse environment with material handling equipment.
- Ability to collaborate with sales and management teams to support account growth.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to warehouse processes and systems.
- Reliable work habits, including punctuality and consistent performance.
- Non-PITO roles available that do not require equipment operation experience.

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse setting that involves regular handling of freight and materials. You work around power equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic jacks, following established safety procedures. Work is primarily on-site in storage and shipping areas, where maintaining organized, clean, and safe workspaces is essential. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
