We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Helper/Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including loading/unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean work environment. Additionally, the role includes occasional driving and delivery duties, ensuring timely and safe transport of goods to our stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing inventory in the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for delivery or shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist in inventory counts and quality control checks.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
- Occasionally drive company vehicles to deliver orders to stores.
- Follow all safety and compliance regulations while driving and handling inventory.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and delivery recipients.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Class C).
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations is a plus.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends if needed.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Must-have:
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50lbs regularly and occasionally heavier items with assistance.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic math skills for inventory and order accuracy.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain role.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems or inventory software.
- Certification in forklift or other material-handling equipment operation.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse settings.
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and problem-solving.
