Account Manager - Medical Affairs & Commercial, Medical CommunicationsRemote (US) | Travel Required


We're partnering with a Medical Communications agency seeking an experienced Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to support a portfolio of Medical Affairs and Commercial Medical Communications programs. Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Management

  • Support day-to-day management of Medical Affairs and Commercial Medical Communications accounts.
  • Serve as a key liaison between clients and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Assist in strategic planning and project execution across multiple accounts.

Project Management & Execution

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Coordinate development of a variety of Medical Communications initiatives.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Identify potential challenges proactively and help drive solutions.

Financial Management

  • Support account financials, including project estimates, forecasting, budget tracking, and scope management.
  • Monitor project profitability and resource allocation.
  • Partner with account leadership to maintain financial health across assigned business.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with account, medical, editorial, creative, and project management teams.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations that improve project quality and client outcomes.
  • Help foster a positive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented culture.

Qualifications

  • 2-6 years of experience within a Medical Communications agency environment.
  • Experience supporting Medical Affairs, promotional medical education, commercial Medical Communications, or HCP engagement programs.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, timelines, and account financials.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving environment.
