Position: Material Handler

Location: Jeffersonville

Pay: $20 to $22/hour

Schedule: Monday Friday | 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler for a wood and paper product distribution facility in Jeffersonville, IN. This role involves handling incoming and outgoing materials, operating a forklift, and supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience and the ability to grow into a role with greater responsibility, including assisting with team coordination on the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities:

-Operate a forklift to move, stage, and organize materials

-Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

-Receive and prepare shipments for distribution

-Maintain organized warehouse space and inventory accuracy

-Assist with cycle counts and inventory tracking

-Follow all warehouse safety procedures

-Support team operations and assist with workflow coordination as needed

Qualifications:

-Previous forklift experience required

-Warehouse or material handling experience preferred

-Leadership experience (Team Lead, Shift Lead, etc.) is a plus

-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

-Strong reliability, communication skills, and work ethic
