The firm’s expanding Data Privacy and AI Governance practice is seeking an experienced attorney to join its national team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants sophisticated privacy and AI work, meaningful client exposure, and the opportunity to help grow an emerging practice area within a stable national platform.
This is a flexible hybrid opportunity in the New York area.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- 3–8 years of experience practicing in data privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, or a closely related area.
- Admission to at least one state and federal bar.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA and other state privacy regulations.
- Experience advising clients on data privacy compliance, cybersecurity, or emerging AI regulations.
- Experience with privacy litigation, including data breach, TCPA, BIPA, wiretapping, or other privacy-related matters, is a plus.
- Familiarity with GDPR and cross-border data privacy issues is preferred.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, communication, and client-service skills.
- Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in business development and helping grow a practice.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT are a plus.
