Director of Talent Acquisition | Technical Recruiting

Compensation: $180,000 - $230,000 Base Salary Location: Onsite 3 days per week in El Segundo, CA

We are a fast-growing health-tech company building technology and data-driven products focused on improving operational efficiency and real-world outcomes at scale.

We're looking for a hands-on Director of Talent Acquisition to build and scale a high-performing technical recruiting function from the ground up. This person will partner closely with Executive Leadership, Engineering, Product, AI/Data, and Go-to-Market teams to attract and close exceptional talent in a highly competitive market.

This is not a traditional HR role. We need someone with a very high technical recruiting bar who has experience building recruiting infrastructure, processes, sourcing functions, and hiring strategies from scratch within startup environments.

What You'll Do

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting across Engineering, AI/ML, Data, Product, and technical leadership roles
  • Build scalable recruiting processes, sourcing strategies, outbound pipelines, and interview frameworks from the ground up
  • Partner directly with executives, founders, and hiring managers on hiring strategy and workforce planning
  • Raise the hiring bar across the organization through structured and rigorous hiring practices
  • Own recruiting operations, metrics, reporting, and pipeline forecasting
  • Help scale and mentor the recruiting function over time

What You Need

  • 6+ years of experience in technical recruiting or technical talent acquisition leadership
  • Proven success recruiting top-tier Software Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and technical leadership
  • Experience building recruiting functions, processes, and infrastructure from scratch in startup or high-growth environments
  • Strong understanding of technical organizations and technical evaluation processes
  • Strong sourcing and outbound recruiting capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate with urgency, autonomy, and high accountability in a startup environment
  • Healthcare, clinical, or health-tech recruiting experience is a plus, but not required
