The Business Manager 1 position manages all matters of financial reporting, budgeting, contracts, and collection of funds for the Athletic Department.
Responsibilities include developing and annual athletic operating budget, monitoring and controlling all revenue and expenditures of the athletic department, coordinating the collection of revenue and other money processed through athletics, processing of athletic grant-in-aid, and preparing financial reports as required by NCAA, PBC, USG and other groups. Other responsibilities include performing all duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or related discipline and 2 years of administrative and management experience. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and ability to understand financial statements and general accounting functions.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include knowledge of standard accounting practices, excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, time-management, detailed-oriented and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer software/databases, ability to exercise sound judgment, manage multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality, and ability to work in a team environment.
Shift is days; M-F (work outside of normal business hours may be required). Pay band is B12 with a salary of $62,300.00/annually, which is commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint). Recruitment period is 8/11/2026 until filled.
