Interministerial Public Relations Communication Chief

Your main activities: Under the direct authority of the prefect, and by delegation of the director of cabinet, the interministerial public relations communication chief of the prefect ensures the external communication of all state services directly attached to the prefect. Responsibilities include:

• Animating the interministerial network of state communicators;
• Relations with the press and local media;
• Media and social media monitoring;
• State and prefect communication: drafting press releases, organizing press briefings, etc.;
• Architecture of interministerial communication and elaboration of the interministerial communication plan;
• Management of the budget and communication materials;
• Events of the prefect or the state (exhibitions, days of internal security, heritage, etc.);
• Construction of audiovisual materials;
• Crisis communication (procedures and tools);
• Animation of the state services' website;
• Relay of government campaigns.

The service chief is also the prefect's press attach, in which capacity he/she defines his/her communication policy and strategy: preparation of language elements, posture, and exchanges with journalists; preparation of the prefect's speeches; animation of Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks.

Your professional environment: Interministerial communication. Hierarchical links: Prefect, director of cabinet. Functional links: All services of the prefecture and the "OSE" perimeter (main general directorates and external services of the state), as well as those in charge of defense and public and civil security. The Ministry of Overseas, the Ministry of the Interior, the DICOM, the SIG, and all ministry communication services.

Special conditions of exercise: Great availability, great reactivity, great adaptability, confidentiality, rigor, sense of organization, high level of relational and public relations skills, intellectual curiosity. A good administrative culture is also desired. Weekly regime: 38.5 hours/Large time amplitude/On-call duty during the week and weekends with interventions, media monitoring on weekends.
