Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver basic patient care with attention to comfort and safety.
- Observe and promptly report any abnormal patient occurrences or condition changes.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies within the patient unit.
- Perform various duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong guest relations and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Receptive to supervision from a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Adaptable to varying work tasks and schedules.
- Quick learner with basic computer proficiency.
- Physical capability to turn, lift patients, and endure standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Visual and auditory acuity necessary for patient observation.
- Willingness to work variable shifts.
- Awareness of exposure risks to blood and body fluids, with adherence to safety protocols.
Education and Certifications:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential registered with the appropriate state registry.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn and grow is essential.
