Director Of Nursing (Don) - Locust Grove, Va

The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for coordinating and supervising the facility's nursing staff. The position is responsible for ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. The Director of Nursing provides direct client care, takes physician orders, prepares and administers resident medications, and coordinates outside diagnostic or medical services as ordered by the physician. This position will serve as the Infection Control Designee.

Minimum Requirements:

• Position requires a bachelor's degree in nursing, an active state Registered Nurse license, and 5+ years of experience Nursing/Clinical Experience. Previous mental health treatment experience is strongly preferred.
• Position requires the incumbent to have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Clearance of TB test, fingerprinting, state clearance, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
