She Recruits is seeking an accomplished Director of Surgical Services to lead a high-volume, high-complexity perioperative division within a growing hospital environment. The Director will guide strategic development, operational excellence, physician engagement, and high-quality patient care across a large surgical services department. Role Overview: The Director of Surgical Services provides strategic and operational leadership for all perioperative areas, ensuring outstanding patient experience, regulatory compliance, clinical quality, and efficient resource management. This leader maintains strong relationships with physicians, hospital executives, and clinical teams, while setting clear goals for departmental growth, service expansion, and performance. The Director plays a critical role in preparing the service line for continued advancement, including supporting new program development such as an upcoming open-heart initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in service line, departmental, and hospital-wide committees and communicate updates to assigned stakeholders
• Advance customer and patient experience throughout Surgical Services
• Coach and mentor direct reports, support performance evaluations, and facilitate staff development plans
• Communicate organizational and industry updates to department teams
• Support and model evidence-based employee engagement practices
• Build strong networks and relationships that strengthen collaboration across the organization
• Utilize talent review data for leadership pipeline development and workforce planning
• Support career advancement for perioperative leaders and emerging talent
• Establish strategic goals and vision for Surgical Services and ensure alignment with hospital priorities
• Develop standards of care and ensure clinical and regulatory compliance
• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs that support quality perioperative care
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety standards, accreditation requirements, and hospital policies
• Oversee performance improvement initiatives that track, monitor, and elevate clinical outcomes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of surgical services experience required
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Active RN license in the state of practice required
• CNOR preferred
• CSSM preferred
• Strong operational, strategic, and financial leadership abilities within perioperative services
