GALVANIZER (graveyard shift) - Norman, OK

Southwestern Wire, Inc., a leading producer of chain link fencing & steel wire products, nationwide, is seeking Galvanizers at our Norman, Oklahoma location.

What we are looking for: 
Someone who is willing to learn and set their own pace while working in a team environment. Reliability is a must. Previous experience with the galvanizing process is preferred but not a requirement. Must be mechanically inclined.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.


• A combination of working independently and with a group to meet production goals. 


• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.


• Observe equipment operations to detect malfunctions and notify operators of any issues.


• Help maintenance workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment.


• Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.


• Clean and lubricate equipment.


• Keep work area clean and support other housekeeping functions. 


• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma, related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

SCHEDULE:

• Rotating days, GRAVEYARD shift (9:00 pm - 9:00 am, may be required to complete training on day shift depending on experience)


• Pay: Average $23-27 per hour (pay varies depending on production)

WORK LOCATION: In person; Norman, OK

***Pre-employment drug test and physical must be completed upon hire.

Salary/Compensation: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
