Heavy Equipment Operator

Oldham County Stone, a part of Rogers Group Inc, is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for our operation located in Crestwood, KY. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including dozer, excavator, front end loader, haul truck, and general work around the quarry operation.
• Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

• Individual must be dedicated to operating safely at all times
• Individual must be willing to perform any task required at quarry
• Must be able to identify and alert management to maintenance issues with equipment
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to compete pre-operation inspection paperwork
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekend when necessary
• Team player attitude
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
