About the Role
This is a high-impact, onsite leadership role for an experienced HR and safety professional who thrives in fast-paced operational environments. As the primary onsite resource for a large-scale workforce, you assist with employee relations, workplace safety, onboarding, and compliance partnering directly with Human Resources, operations leadership and client stakeholders to keep the workforce safe, productive, and compliant.
What You'll Do
Employee Relations & Workforce Operations
- Serve as the primary onsite resource for employee and supervisor support.
- Support on site management in addressing attendance, performance, conduct, and workplace concerns with sound judgment and documentation
- Coach supervisors on best practices and corrective action processes
- Help coordinate and schedule and document workplace investigations in partnership with HR Investigators.
- Support performance management, corrective actions, and separations in partnership with HR leadership
Safety & Compliance
- Champion a proactive safety culture across the entire operation
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and behavioral observations
- Coordinate with Risk Department on injuries and safety concerns.
- Deliver safety training and ensure full compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements, including Cal/OSHA in conjunction with Risk Department.
Onboarding & Training
- Own the onsite onboarding and orientation experience from start to finish
- Ensure all employees complete required training and credentialing before deployment
- Contribute to the development of training materials and standard operating procedures
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records across HR, safety, training, and investigation logs.
Track workforce metrics, incidents, and corrective actions.
Identify trends and proactively recommend improvements to operations and leadership
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in workforce operations, employee relations, HR Generalist, safety, or a related field
- Proven experience supporting large hourly or frontline workforces in an operational environment
- Hands-on experience conducting audits, training delivery, or workplace inspections
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- High degree of discretion with confidential employee information
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Background in logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, construction, facilities, or security
- Working knowledge of California employment law and Cal/OSHA regulations
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification
- Prior experience in client-site or embedded operations roles
