Weekly Compensation: $3,135 – $3,299 per week
Shift: Full-Time | Day Shift (4x10s, 6:45 AM – 5:30 PM)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Travel Angiography Technologist for a high-volume, top-tier healthcare facility in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will operate advanced imaging systems and work directly alongside interventional radiologists and cardiologists during complex neurovascular, peripheral vascular, and cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Operate Advanced Equipment: Utilize digital fluoroscopy, CT scanners, and diagnostic X-ray systems (GE, Siemens, Philips) to capture high-resolution imagery of blood vessels and cardiac structures.
- Surgical & Procedural Assistance: Scrub and circulate during interventional radiology, neurovascular, and cardiac catheterization procedures, including stent placements and angiograms.
- Patient Care & Safety: Prepare and position patients, continuously monitor vital signs, and explain procedures to ensure patient safety, calm, and understanding.
- Sterile Field Maintenance: Prepare sterile trays, handle specialized equipment (catheters, guide wires, contrast injectors), and uphold strict sterile field technique throughout all cases.
- EHR Documentation: Efficiently record procedural data and patient notes using Epic EMR.
Education & Credentials:
- ARRT (R) Certification and Registration in Radiography.
- California Radiologic Technology (CRT) license.
- California Fluoroscopy Permit.
- BLS Certification (AHA compliant).
Required Experience:
- 1+ years of recent healthcare travel experience.
- 6+ months of recent modality experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
- Proven hands-on experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) and Level 1 Trauma environments.
- Proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating for both Neuro and Vascular cases.
- Familiarity with GE, Siemens, and Philips imaging systems, as well as Epic EMR.
Travel Distance Requirements:
- Permanent home address must be over 100 miles from the facility location (San Diego, CA 92037).
- Previous assignment/employment location within the past year must also be over 100 miles from this facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of inpatient hospital experience in the IR/Angiography modality.
- Language Skills: Bilingual capabilities are preferred, but not required.
- Personality Traits: Adaptable, dependable, and flexible with call coverage and scheduling demands.
Schedule & Call Details:
- Shift Structure: 4x10-hour day shifts (Sunday – Saturday, 6:45 AM – 5:30 PM).
- Schedule Release: Published 4 weeks in advance.
- On-Call / Standby Requirements: Approximately 10 call shifts per month, including:
- 1 Primary call shift per week
- 1 Secondary call shift per week
- 1 Weekend call shift per month (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday coverage)
