This role offers an excellent entry point into manufacturing as a Mechanical Assembler, with no prior experience required. You will assemble industrial electric vehicles and components used in warehouses and production facilities, working as part of a team on a structured assembly line. The position focuses on hands-on mechanical work, using hand and power tools to build high-quality equipment in a large manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Work in teams of two on an assembly line to assemble industrial electric vehicles and related components.
- Use hand tools and air (pneumatic) tools to install components onto the vehicle chassis (body).
- Install and connect wiring harnesses to terminals according to assembly requirements.
- Adjust components and assemblies to meet specified operating requirements and quality standards.
- Use testing devices, after training, to check equipment functionality and ensure proper operation.
- Follow assembly drawings, schematics, and instructions when available to complete builds accurately.
- Support production goals by maintaining steady workflow and communicating any issues to the appropriate team members.
- Handle materials and components safely, including lifting items up to 50 lbs as needed during assembly.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures in the manufacturing facility.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 6 months of experience in physically demanding work, such as warehouse, production, or similar environments.
- Comfort using hand tools and air (pneumatic) tools to assemble parts and components.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks.
- Willingness to learn mechanical assembly processes and follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team on an assembly line.
- Basic familiarity with tools and mechanical concepts, whether from work or personal hobbies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience or hobbies involving working on cars, motorcycles, or similar mechanical projects are highly valued.
- Ability to read assembly drawings, blueprints, or schematics is a strong plus.
- Exposure to production, construction, or installation environments is beneficial.
- Interest in developing skills in mechanical assembly, wiring, and equipment testing.
- Reliability and punctuality for consistent first-shift work in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment
This position is based in a large manufacturing facility with approximately 200 employees across assembly, welding, machining, warehouse, and office departments. The role follows a first-shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will work on an assembly line using hand tools, power tools, and air (pneumatic) tools, and you will be trained to use testing devices for equipment verification. The environment is active and hands-on, requiring regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and consistent adherence to safety practices in a production setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
