The Danville Baseball Club is home to one of Virginia's most exciting summer baseball brands: the Danville Otterbots (proud members of the Appalachian League powered by Major League Baseball and USA Baseball). Located in Danville, Virginia, the organization's mission is to provide unforgettable, community-driven entertainment while delivering the highest standard of fan experience. The Merchandise Intern will oversee the merchandise department, from inventory and ordering to online and in-person sales.

Internship Goals:

• Learn the day-to-day business functions of a retail and merchandise operation within a small-market sports organization.
• Gain hands-on experience with inventory management, ordering, and receiving.
• Develop a relationship selling and revenue generating skill set through online and in-person orders and email campaigns.
• Exposure to leadership responsibilities in:
  • Inventory & Ordering Management
  • Online & Game Day Merchandise Sales
  • New Product Development
  • Email & Sales Campaign Marketing

Internship Requirements:

• Full-time summer internship from Mid-May to the beginning of August.
• Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, marketing, or a related field.
• Must be able to work all events and game days.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
