Job Description

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS), an independent, nonprofit, physician-led health system and member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, is seeking a physician to serve as Medical Director of Occupational Health & Urgent Care in Findlay, Northwest Ohio.

Opportunity Overview

Clinical Responsibilities (80%)

  • Provide urgent care services for acute illnesses and injuries
  • Deliver occupational medicine services, including:
    • Work-related injury care
    • Occupational physicals
    • Return-to-work evaluations
  • Medical Review Officer (MRO) certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification required

Medical Director Responsibilities (20%)

  • Develop and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Oversee quality initiatives and OPPE processes
  • Collaborate with and support Advanced Practice Providers
  • Train and onboard new providers
  • Partner with operational leaders to advance service line goals

Compensation & Benefits

  • $300,000 base salary (includes vacation and CME)
  • $100,000 signing bonus ($50,000 in Year 1 and $50,000 in Year 2)
  • $10,000 relocation assistance
  • 200 hours paid time off/CME (5 weeks)
  • $5,000 annual CME and board certification allowance
