A commercial and industrial field services holding company is looking for a VP, Investing to build a long-term, "forever" business that creates opportunities for people in the skilled trades. Rather than acquiring businesses with the intent to sell them in a few years, the firm focuses on preserving what makes each business successful while investing in its people and long-term growth.

In this role, you will co-lead capital allocation for one of six ~$300M segments, with a mandate to grow it beyond $1B over the next five years. You will own the full lifecycle of growth: from identifying exceptional businesses and building relationships with founders, to negotiating transactions and developing and executing post-close growth plans.

The ideal candidate is a senior M&A or investment professional with 5+ years of experience looking for greater ownership across both transaction execution and business growth. The firm is seeking someone who is highly relationship-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, and is comfortable traveling on short notice to build trust and lasting relationships with founders. This role can be based in the New York or Denver office.
