Physical Therapist - Travel Contract
Apply NowJoin a travel Physical Therapist team in Alexandria, VA at an outpatient clinic. Provide evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and modify care to meet patients' needs and physician direction. Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services and design functional programs that support patients returning to community activities. Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers. Complete documentation and charge entry in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory guidelines. Maintain professional licensure, uphold ethical standards, and participate in performance improvement and professional development activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Virginia state PT license required to start the assignment.
- Minimum 6 months of recent outpatient physical therapy experience.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience with comprehensive evaluations, goal writing, and documentation compliant with state, federal, and payer requirements.
- Ability to supervise or delegate tasks to support staff and participate in student clinical education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient clinic workflow and productivity expectations.
- Familiarity with safe patient handling practices and materials handling protocols.
- Previous participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule.
- Typical daily schedule reported as 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
