Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist team in Park Ridge, IL, working in a skilled nursing facility to help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. Your experience will support interdisciplinary care focused on restoring function and improving quality of life.
Minimum Requirements Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree) approved by the APTA. Active Illinois Physical Therapy license or ability to obtain state licensure prior to assignment start. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Recent experience working in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute rehabilitation settings preferred. Experience with common skilled nursing therapy documentation systems and restorative nursing programs preferred.
Preferred Qualifications Previous travel therapy experience. Experience with geriatric populations, fall prevention programs, and restorative care planning. Strong skills in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise progression, and discharge planning.
Assignment Details Shift Hours: 08:30–16:30. Workweek: Five 8-hour shifts per week.
