Job Summary
The Task Project Manager 2 will provide essential oversight and coordination of task-level projects, with a specific focus on containment inspection activities in a nuclear power plant environment. This position involves managing project execution in the field, coordinating contract administration, and ensuring compliance with project timelines, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage specific projects or tasks, ensuring execution aligns with project plans and regulatory requirements
- Track task/project progress and report updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Coordinate contractor activities, equipment setup, and inspection support
- Serve as a Contract Administrator / Task Director for Engineering inspections (e.g., IWL Containment)
- Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle
- Support contractor mobilization, logistics, and site coordination
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures on site
- Conduct fieldwork outdoors, including physical activity such as climbing ladders
- Provide real-time problem-solving and resolution of on-site issues
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Experience: 610 years of experience managing projects or tasks within the energy or utilities sector; experience with Nuclear Power Plant projects strongly preferred; previous field project oversight and contract administration experience
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and task management
- Effective coordination and leadership skills, especially in contractor/vendor interactions
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the nuclear or energy sector
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project management tools
- Physically able to work outdoors for extended periods and climb ladders as required
Work Environment
- Field-based role; must be comfortable working outdoors throughout the day
- Requires PPE and adherence to safety protocols for nuclear facilities
- Will involve working directly at a nuclear power plant inspection site
