Quality Inspector

As a Quality Inspector, you will conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples. You will interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on the appropriateness of data for release. The role includes performing visual inspections of finished and unfinished products, completing documentation to support testing procedures, calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and participating in investigations of out-of-specification results.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of materials and products.
  • Interpret test results and make recommendations based on specifications.
  • Perform visual inspections of products.
  • Complete necessary documentation for testing procedures.
  • Calibrate, validate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Participate in investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Supply quality control data for regulatory submissions.
  • Receive and inspect raw materials.
  • Investigate or report questionable test results.
  • Ensure lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
  • Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with blueprint reading, micrometers, calipers, and GD&T.
  • 1-2 years of Aerospace Inspection experience.
  • Knowledge of using and calibrating measurement tools such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Basic knowledge of CMM.
  • Excellent oral and written comprehension.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with composite and metallic structures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with standards like AS9100.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics, including algebra and geometry.

Work Environment

Work is organized in two shifts: 1st shift runs from 6:00am to 4:30pm, and 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 1:00am, Monday through Friday. The company operates in a family-like atmosphere across three buildings, with the main building housing office space, a showroom, and production floor, while the second building is dedicated to production, testing, and quality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
