School Psychologist | Placitas, New Mexico

Make a difference in students’ lives this school year as a School Psychologist in a secondary school setting. This contract opportunity offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) from now until the end of May, supporting a diverse student population near Placitas, NM. You’ll play a critical role in student assessments, providing guidance, and collaborating with educators and families.

What we’re looking for:

• Licensed or eligible for NM PED School Psychologist credential (must hold or be able to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school environment is highly valued
• Proficiency in conducting Evaluations and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs) strongly preferred
• Ability to manage a secondary-level caseload, balancing time between assessment, consultation, and intervention
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Passionate about supporting the social, emotional, and academic growth of students

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting assessment data for individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Leading or participating in Manifestation Determination Review processes
• Consulting with teachers, families, and school teams to develop and implement effective interventions
• Providing crisis support, behavioral counseling, or group sessions as appropriate for student needs
• Maintaining detailed records in compliance with school and state requirements
