School Psychologist | River Rouge, Michigan

Make a difference in the lives of K–12 students as an on-site School Psychologist serving multiple schools in the River Rouge, MI area. This rewarding itinerant contract role runs through May 28, 2027, offering the chance to impact educational outcomes by working closely with school teams and students across four buildings.

In this position, you'll support students and staff with psychological testing and evaluations, take part in REED meetings, and contribute to creating positive, inclusive learning environments. Travel professionals with current Michigan licensure are highly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.

What we’re seeking:

• Michigan School Psychologist license (required)
• Experience working with K–12 students in school settings
• Familiarity with psychoeducational assessments, IEPs, and the evaluation/eligibility determination process
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently across multiple locations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Flexibility for an itinerant schedule between four schools
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct and interpret student assessments and psychological testing
• Participate in REED meetings, contributing expertise to evaluation and eligibility determinations
• Prepare detailed, accurate reports and recommendations to support student learning and mental health
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to develop interventions and strategies for student success
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed

Position highlights:

• Contract role through May 2027 with a consistent 8AM–3PM, 35-hour workweek; early student dismissal every Wednesday
• W2 hourly contract with pay between $49–$57 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
