Duties

Help

Develop, review, and recommend applicable technical policies, procedures, and other guidance materials.

Provide expert technical support guidance, advice, and assistance regarding Hazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) and/or Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP).

Develop, manage, and maintain program scopes, schedules, and budgets, while ensuring a clear understanding of each staff member's level of effort.

Establish workload priorities and ensure timely completion and acceptable quality of highly visible work products.

Supervise subordinates consisting of safety professionals, scientists, health physicists, program liaisons, and support staff.

Review high visibility work products of staff for accuracy against national program policy and guidance and technical requirements.

Establish performance requirements and makes mid-year and annual performance reviews.

Assess manpower requirements based on workload and mission assignments.

Participate in national Environmental Quality and Cleanup Community of Practice and in national forums with USACE, DA, DOW, EPA and other federal and state agencies.
