Duties

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the JPPSO, ensuring all functional work areas comply with legal and regulatory guidance in meeting customer requirements. Develops operational and organizational plans, integrating the JPPSO goals and objectives with base-level Personal Property Processing Offices (PPPOs).

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors and multidiscipline functional leads. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of the Personal Property Activity or Headquarters Air Force. Selects and/or approves candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments, taking into consideration skills, qualifications, and mission requirements. Ensures reasonable equity among division performance standards, developing, modifying, and/or interpreting evaluation/rating techniques developed by subordinate supervisors.

Represents JPPSO with a variety of Service-level activities, Headquarters and base-level agencies, Commercial Industry Associations, and Transportation Service Providers. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with Commercial Industry, Federal Agencies, Armed Forces, and the US Coast Guard, to include: Wing/MAJCOM leadership, Personal Property Activity (PPA) HQ and/or Military Service Headquarters, United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), Service-level Military Claims Office, Defense Accounting Finance Service (DFAS), and General Services Administration; motivates and influences key stakeholders to support recommendations to advance fundamental program goals and objectives.

Comprehensively assesses and evaluates program goals/objectives, providing a basis for long-range planning and development of program-level enhancements. Directs, manages, integrates, and coordinates organizational efforts of a multi-disciplined staff.
