American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Inpatient Rehab position in Illinois requiring an active IL RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
- Primary patient population includes high neuro and stroke cases
- Night shift schedule from 7 pm to 7 am
- Required to work every third weekend, covering Friday and Saturday nights
- Performs all standard medical floor duties except Heparin drips
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating a personalized patient care plan
- Provides patient education and instructions to patients and families
- Expected to use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
- Participation in a multidisciplinary team is required
- Professional communication skills for conflict management are expected
- Maintains accurate medical records and meets core measure responsibilities
- Orientation and continuing education participation is encouraged
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience necessary
- Current BLS certification required
- Stroke certification is a plus but not required
