American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Chewelah, Washington.Job Description & Requirements * Specialty: Physical Therapist * Discipline: Therapy * Start Date: 08/24/2026 * Duration: 13 weeks * 24 hours per week * Shift: 8 hours, days * Employment Type: TravelAssignment Overview * Shift: Days, 3x8hrs * Hours: 24 hrs/wk * Start Date: Aug 24, 2026 * Length: 13 weeks * Openings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital position requiring a valid WA license and 1+ year of experience.Details * Critical access, rural hospital setting with 23 total staff beds * Inpatient acute care therapy unit * Patient ratio of 1:5-10 * Day shift, 3x8 hours (8:00 AM-4:00 PM) * Approximately 0.6 FTE (about 24 hours/week), Monday-Friday with some flexibility for Tuesday-Friday scheduling * Workday hours vary based on hospital census * May float to other facilities in Colville and Spokane based on facility need * No call requirements * No weekend requirements * Uses Epic for chartingRequirements * Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required * Valid WA PT license required (license required if applicable) * BLS certification required * Epic charting experience preferred * Experience with acute care work settings required * LTAC and SNF experience preferred * Skilled in patient assessment including AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, and vital sign monitoring * Experience with equipment such as gait belts, walkers, and sliding boards * Experience with orthopedic and neurologic patient populations preferred * Proficient in documentation including evaluations, plans of care, and discharge planningAdditional Information * Primary responsibilities include inpatient physical therapy evaluation and treatment at a critical access hospital * May be required to float to sister facilities based on census and facility needs * Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment * FTE may increase up to 0.75 during periods of high census, but not to full 5x8 schedule * Scrubs of any color accepted for Allied staff * No parking fees at this facility * Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower rate * Returning Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility * RTO must be requested and finalized at time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be granted * First-time travelers will be considered for this positionAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-728174.
