ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SchoolPsychologist to provide onsite services within a South Carolina schooldistrict. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional who ispassionate about supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioralsuccess of students.
As a School Psychologist, you will collaborate with educators,administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess student needs,develop intervention plans, and ensure appropriate educational services areprovided.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to support special education eligibility and educational planning.
- Analyze assessment data, interpret findings, and develop clear, legally compliant evaluation reports with actionable recommendations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, eligibility determinations, reevaluations, and IEP meetings as a key member of the special education team.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to address students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health needs.
- Provide consultation regarding evidence-based interventions, classroom supports, accommodations, and behavioral strategies.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional intervention plans.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and support the development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) when appropriate.
- Monitor student progress, review intervention effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations to support student achievement.
- Support crisis intervention, risk assessments, threat assessments, and behavioral problem-solving efforts as needed.
- Promote positive school climate initiatives and contribute to programs that support student well-being and resilience.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district policies, IDEA, Section 504, and state and federal special education regulations.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to identify barriers to learning and develop effective strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Qualifications
- Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid South Carolina School Psychologist certification/licensure or eligibility to obtain certification
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and writing assessment reports
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Previous school-based experience preferred
