Position Summary
The Trimmer supports post-harvest operations by performing accurate, sanitary, and compliant trimming and preparation of cannabis flower. This role is responsible for maintaining quality standards, meeting production goals, and following all applicable procedures related to sanitation, inventory tracking, and regulatory compliance within cultivation post-harvest operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform the efficient and sanitary trimming and manicuring of dried cannabis flower in accordance with department standards.
- Break down harvested plants to separate usable product from designated waste materials.
- Ensure stems, fan leaves, and other waste materials are properly weighed, tracked, and disposed of according to procedure.
- Maintain consistent quality, appearance, and pace while trimming various strains and product types.
- Adjust trimming techniques to maintain productivity without sacrificing quality.
- Accurately record daily production output, including plant counts, trim weights, and waste totals.
- Complete required daily and monthly logs and reports to support inventory tracking and regulatory compliance.
- Complete required METRC training and accurately perform METRC-related tasks as assigned, in accordance with state regulations and company procedures.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training requirements, and compliance protocols.
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workspaces, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with the sanitization, organization, and storage of tools, materials, and work areas.
- Identify and promptly report quality, safety, or compliance concerns to Leads or Supervisors.
- Accept and apply constructive feedback to meet quality and production expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule and Work Hours
Flexible schedule based on operational needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overtime, or shift coverage as required.
Compliance and Continuing Eligibility
Employment is contingent upon ongoing compliance with company policies, cultivation regulations, METRC requirements, and maintenance of all required licenses and work authorizations, including completion of required METRC awareness training and adherence to all METRC-related policies.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Marijuana Establishment Agent Registration Card.
- Prior experience in trimming, manufacturing, production, or regulated environments preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistency and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Equivalent combinations of experience, training, and education will be considered. Emphasis is placed on demonstrated skill, reliability, and the ability to perform the essential functions of the role.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Post-harvest cultivation environment where cannabis products are present. Employees in this position will be directly exposed to harvested cannabis plants and cannabis products as part of normal job duties. Must be able to tolerate handling and strong odors of cannabis throughout the workday. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance).
