Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company located in Glenwood, MN. We work one-on-one with great candidates to help connect them with local employment opportunities. We are seeking candidates for Welder Lead roles. Compensation for these opportunities is $21.00-$35.00 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information!

What you will do as the Welder Lead:

• Weld metal components together with a variety of gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, plant equipment, and small and large structural weldments.
• Weld per instructions and/or engineering drawings
• Weld parts using approved welding procedures
• Support the setup of equipment, layout, and weld preparations
• Position and clamp together components prior to welding
• Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding
• Verify conformance of finished workpiece to first article inspection with limited supervision
• Perform all operations with the highest regard to personal safety and the safety of others, and at a level of performance acceptable to the supervisor
• Responsible for housekeeping in the general area

What you need to be a Welder Lead:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, written instructions, manuals, safety rules, etc.
• Additional shop skills are preferred
• Proficiency in the use of forklifts, cranes, slings, chains, hooks, and other appropriate devices or equipment is preferred
• Ability to stand, crouch, and walk with or without reasonable accommodations
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
