Advanced Medical Support Assistant

The Advanced Medical Support Assistant works at the W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC, assigned to the Surgical Service. This position is supervised by the Administrative Officer of the Surgical Service. This position directly supports the Operating Room by working with perioperative nursing and case managers to effectively develop and schedule patients within the OR Control (ORC) system, OR Surgery Package and appointment management systems.
