Attorney - Intellectual Property Litigation | Up to $280K Base | Patent Litigation | Washington, DC | Hybrid

I’m working with an established law firm looking to add an experienced attorney to its Washington, DC Intellectual Property Litigation team. The practice handles sophisticated patent and technology disputes for major domestic and international clients across technically complex industries.

The Firm

• High-Stakes Patent Litigation: Handle major patent infringement disputes involving software, electronics, telecommunications, life sciences, medical devices and emerging technologies.
• Strong Courtroom Exposure: Work across Markman hearings, IPR proceedings, preliminary injunctions, trials and appellate matters.
• National & International Client Base: Represent leading U.S. and international businesses in complex IP disputes and technology-driven litigation.
• Lean, Hands-On Platform: Attorneys are given meaningful responsibility across strategy, client contact and substantive litigation rather than being heavily layered beneath large teams.

The Role

• Manage Complex Patent Matters: Take ownership of significant patent disputes and contribute directly to case strategy.
• Full Litigation Lifecycle: Handle pleadings, discovery, fact and expert depositions, substantive motions, hearings and trial preparation.
• Broader IP Exposure: Opportunity to work across trade secret, trademark, copyright and other complex technology disputes alongside the core patent practice.
• Technology-Driven Work: Particularly attractive for attorneys with experience across software, telecommunications, semiconductors, AI, medical technology or other sophisticated technical sectors.
• Technical background in engineering, computer science or life sciences particularly attractive
