Employment Type: Contract (W2/1099/C2C)


Duration (if contract): long term contract with possible extension


Salary: The salary range for this position is $48/hr - $50/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a Controls Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in Allen-Bradley PLC programming and automated vision systems to support manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting, and validation in North Haven, CT.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk HMI systems.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cognex or Keyence vision inspection systems.
  • Diagnose machine stoppages and perform root cause analysis.
  • Troubleshoot electrical schematics, servo motors, and motion controllers.
  • Support equipment validation, commissioning, and process improvements.
  • Participate in risk assessments and equipment design reviews.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, or Electromechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 3–5 years of controls or automation engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with ControlLogix, CompactLogix, or GuardLogix PLCs.
  • Experience with Cognex or Keyence vision systems and FactoryTalk HMI.
  • Knowledge of Ladder Logic, SCL/Structured Text, FBD, and Graph.
  • Experience with equipment validation and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and automated assembly equipment.
