We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Engineering Manager to join the leadership team of a beautiful waterfront resort in San Diego. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality engineering professional who enjoys solving challenges, and maintaining exceptional property standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Engineering to oversee daily maintenance and engineering operations across resort.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely resolution of guest and operational needs.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Support sustainability initiatives, property safety, and continuous improvements.
• Maintain a hands-on leadership presence while managing scheduling, purchasing, and work orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of building maintenance experience.
• Previous engineering experience in a full-service hotel or resort.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Hands-on leadership style with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in a union environment is highly desirable.
• Strong computer skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
