An established, physician-owned gastroenterology practice in the greater Baltimore region is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join its growing inpatient hospitalist service. This is an exceptional opportunity to earn a $500,000 base salary with total compensation potential of up to $750,000, while enjoying a predictable 7-on/7-off schedule averaging just 26 clinical weeks per year. The physician will cover a single hospital alongside an experienced APP who manages initial rounds and floor responsibilities, allowing the gastroenterologist to focus on procedures, complex inpatient consultations, and high-quality patient care.

Practice Highlights:

• 7 days on / 7 days off with approximately 26 clinical weeks annually

• $500,000 base salary with productivity incentives and estimated total compensation of up to $750,000

• Single-hospital coverage managing inpatient GI consultations, rounds, follow-up, and general GI procedures

• Experienced APP support to assist with initial rounds and floor duties, allowing greater focus on procedures and complex cases

• Inpatient procedural focus with opportunities to perform endoscopy and other general GI procedures

• Call responsibilities limited to scheduled service weeks, with additional compensation available for extra coverage

• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, malpractice coverage, and CME allowance

• Potential partnership opportunity, depending on employment structure

• ERCP training required; EUS training preferred

• Qualifications: MD or DO with completion of GI fellowship; board-certified or board-eligible; eligible for Maryland medical licensure and hospital privileges
