Executive-facing Health Actuarial Consultant

Senior Manager health actuarial consulting role in Deloitte's San Francisco Human Capital practice. You'll advise health plans, providers, and health systems on pricing, plan design, reimbursement, value-based care, predictive modelling, and financial performance while leading teams and presenting to senior stakeholders. The role requires 10+ years of health actuarial experience, ASA/FSA-level credentials, and average travel of 50%.

Requirements

Strongly preferred:

• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of health actuarial experience
• ASA with progression to FSA, FSA, or career ASA designation
• Ability to travel 50% on average
• 8+ years of consulting, health plan, or insurance company experience
• 6+ years of experience leading teams
• 6+ years of experience with product design or product strategy
• 6+ years of experience with reimbursement models, including value-based care or ACO modeling
• 6+ years of experience with risk adjustment mechanisms, group insurance products, M&A, or health care reform
• Ability to lead projects or workstreams
• Ability to mentor and provide clear guidance to others
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
