As a Home Improvement Professional at Wayfair, you are the store's most trusted renovation expert and project consultant. More than a salesperson, you serve as the go-to resource for customers undertaking projects of every sizefrom replacing a single vanity to coordinating a full-home renovation.

You combine deep technical knowledge across every home improvement category with exceptional consultative selling skills to help customers confidently plan, design, and execute their projects. Whether assisting with flooring, cabinetry, lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors, windows, hardware, storage solutions, paint coordination, or complete room renovations, you understand how every decision impacts the finished result.

You think like a contractor, project manager, designer, and trusted advisor. You understand sequencing, product compatibility, installation considerations, budgeting, timelines, building materials, and the practical challenges customers encounter during renovations. • Serve as the store's home improvement expert

Lead End-to-End Project Planning

• Help customers plan projects from concept through completion by identifying project goals, sequencing purchases, coordinating categories, and recommending complete solutions.

Deliver Consultative Selling

• Build trust through meaningful conversations that uncover customer needs, lifestyle considerations, project complexity, budget, timelines, and installation requirements.

Solve Complex Project Challenges

• Identify potential issues before they become problems by advising customers on compatibility, measurements, material selection, installation requirements, maintenance, and long-term performance.

Home Improvement Expertise

Demonstrate Cross-Category Knowledge

• Provide expert guidance across flooring, kitchen, bath, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, plumbing fixtures, hardware, storage, organization, windows, doors, trim, wall treatments, outdoor living, and complementary dcor.

Apply Practical Renovation Experience

• Leverage hands-on renovation, construction, remodeling, or project management experience to provide real-world advice customers can trust.
