Key Responsibilities * Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations through standardized testing and observational methods. * Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, aiming to improve patients' strength, mobility, and overall physical function. * Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including exercise prescription, manual therapy techniques, and patient education, to enhance recovery processes. * Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in condition or needs. * Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care. * Engage in patient education sessions to inform patients and their families about injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and lifestyle modifications that promote rehabilitation. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Patient Population / Client Focus The Licensed Physical Health Therapist will work with a diverse group of patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, trauma, or chronic pain conditions. This role requires a nuanced understanding of the unique physical and emotional challenges patients face during rehabilitation. The therapist will provide care that not only addresses immediate physical needs but also enhances emotional resilience and supports overall well-being. Qualifications * Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. * Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in California. * Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and physical rehabilitation principles. * Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication and relationship building with patients and multidisciplinary teams. * Ability to deliver patient care in a manner that is compassionate, respectful, and supportive of individual patient needs.
