Job Description
Job Overview:
- We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who believes that the best design isn’t the most complex one—it’s the one that works flawlessly for the next 20 years.
- You will lead the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for educational, institutional, and commercial projects, ensuring they are functional, sustainable, and easy for facility managers to operate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Practical Design: Develop mechanical systems that prioritize "universal maintainability," helping our clients avoid the "proprietary trap" of overly complex, high-maintenance equipment.
- 3D Synergy: Utilize BIM/Revit to create precise 3D models, proactively identifying and eliminating construction-phase "clashes" before they reach the field.
- Sector Stewardship: Design "hardened," reliable infrastructure for mission-critical facilities like detention centers and municipal buildings where system failure is not an option.
- Sustainable Impact: Implement energy conservation measures that offer a real-world ROI, helping public institutions defend taxpayer dollars through 30-year durability standards.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a passion for MEP/FP design.
- Proficiency in BIM/Revit for coordinated 3D modeling.
- A "Common Sense" mindset: you value practicality and have a desire to understand the long-term operational needs of facility managers.
- Experience or interest in high-stakes sectors such as K-12, Higher Ed, or Government infrastructure.
