Job Opportunity

Position: Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Location: Bothell, WA

Shift: Day - 5x8 Hour (08:00 AM - 05:00 PM)

Overview

This role is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity available exclusively for local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the clinic. Candidates must possess a valid Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license. This is a full-time position requiring a commitment to patient care.

Job Responsibilities

• Support primary care model focused on elderly patients (ages 62 and up).
• Assist clinicians in providing value-based care to minimize hospital admissions and emergency department visits.
• Demonstrate strong administrative experience, including chart preparation, follow-up phone calls, and faxing paperwork.
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordination with external facilities and physicians.
• Perform standard medical assistant duties, including obtaining vital signs, rooming patients, and managing appointment schedules.

Qualifications

• Required: Washington State MA-C License.
• No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to resolve all scheduling limitations prior to start (e.g., childcare, transportation).

Work Environment

The role involves working in an outpatient clinic environment, primarily caring for geriatric patients. Candidates should be prepared for an administrative-heavy workload, including in-basket work.

Commitment

This position requires a commitment to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or on-call duties. Punctuality and reliability are essential in providing outstanding patient care.
