This facility averages 72 hospital deliveries per month and maintains 24/7 in-house anesthesia coverage to support clinical operations. Maternal-fetal medicine coverage is available but not on-site, and hospitalists do not provide gynecologic coverage. Temporary privileges are available for qualified candidates, and established clinical protocols support continuous obstetric and gynecologic care delivery across all assigned coverage periods.

Christiansburg offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. Outdoor enthusiasts will find the Huckleberry Trail, the Dragon's Tooth Trail, and the McAfee Knob Trailhead, alongside nearby New River Trail State Park. Clinicians will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care through 24-hour shifts with call coverage requirements on an inpatient, on-site basis. Backup support from OB physicians, general surgery, and emergency room staff is available when needed.
