Opportunity Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

    • Shared panel model utilized. Small portion of FTE is allocated to support inbox management and/ supporting intake assessments for level of care determination.

  • Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00- 5:00 PM

    • Flexibility available in FTE distribution

  • Location: Livonia, Michigan

  • Specialty: Psychiatry

  • Hospital Info: Clinic supports a residency program with close collaboration alongside faculty. Includes support from psychotherapists

  • Team Size: 3 attending physicians and 9 residents

  • Call Requirements: None

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years Behavioral Health experience required

  • 5 years of Behavioral Health experience strongly preferred

  • Board Certified as a PA-C

    • Graduate-level experience for PAs (not clinical rotations)

  • State of Michigan License*

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and engagement

  • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)

  • DEA license

  • BLS and ACLS certified and maintained

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

  • Providing direct patient care

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

  • Participating in teaching and mentoring

  • Documenting in Epic EMR

  • Engaging in quality improvement initiatives

  • Supporting community health efforts

  • Supporting management of inbox

  • Additional opportunities to perform psycho-social intake assessments
