We're representing a well-established, privately held general contractor based in Newport Beach that's built its reputation on delivering complex commercial and public-oriented construction projects across Southern California.

This is a mid-sized team environment where Project Managers have real ownership not buried under layers. You'll be trusted to run projects, stay close to the field, and work directly with leadership.

Projects include commercial, institutional, and public-sector work with a strong emphasis on structural scopes and technically challenging builds.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Leadership

• Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and overall delivery
• Drive buyout, contract administration, and cost control
• Coordinate closely with field teams to ensure execution aligns with plan

Technical & Administrative Oversight

• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Maintain cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with plans, specs, and applicable codes

Client & Team Coordination

• Interface with clients, consultants, and internal teams
• Identify risks early and drive solutions to keep projects on track

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years with a General Contractor
• Experience in commercial, institutional, or public works construction
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and structural scopes
• Proven ability to manage projects with minimal oversight
• Comfortable in a hands-on, mid-sized team environment
