Quality Assurance Supervisor

The Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees the Quality Assurance department and its personnel operating on multiple shifts. They will write inspection SOPs, create inspection forms and ensures SOP's are being followed. They will also oversee the inspection equipment certification program, perform gage calibration and write or assist in CMM programming; responsible for overseeing the repair and purchasing of inspection equipment.

The Quality Assurance Supervisor will work with the production management team to ensure good work flow and minimize production stoppages.

The successful candidate will be a forward thinker to help the company move QA into a more modern and efficient department. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work with a variety of personalities, and good communication skills are needed to be successful in this position.

The Quality Assurance Supervisor reports to the Engineering Manager.

Other duties include:

• Oversees training of QA personnel
• Writes and maintains the QA budget
• Updates inspection procedures and gaging on a regular basis
• Approves payroll time sheets for the QA department personnel
• Oversees the marking and packaging function
• Contact vendors as quality issues arise
• Performs personnel performance and wage reviews
• Shift scheduling of personnel
• Maintain files for material certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration
• 5-Years' experience in quality assurance supervision
• 5-Years' experience as quality assurance inspector
• Adept in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Can work with AutoCAD
• Able to use all measuring devices for a metal working facility
• Has significant organizational skills
