Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

We are seeking experienced candidates for the role of Sterile Processing Technician. This position will involve crucial responsibilities within the surgical services department, specifically in sterile processing and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities

• Decontamination of various medical instruments and equipment, including drills, Da Vinci systems, and scopes.
• Assembly of all instruments across multiple service lines, including trauma and loaner instruments, with peel packaging.
• Execution of the sterilization process utilizing Sterrad and steam methods.
• Experience in High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope processing.
• Management of sterile storage protocols.
• Acting as an Operating Room Liaison to facilitate and enhance surgical procedures.
• Proficient use of Censitrac tracking system for instrument management.
• Experience with Medivator systems is required.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Certified Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) is required.
• Demonstrated experience in a high-volume, Level One trauma facility or similar environments is preferred.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays.

Work Schedule

Full-time position with Day shift, 5 days a week (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM).
