Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This position involves working in a Level I Trauma Center and requires expertise in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping processes. The successful candidate will be pivotal in maintaining the integrity and safety of surgical instruments and equipment.

This position is for night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Holiday rotation is expected.

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping of surgical instruments.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and quality control standards.
• Float to various departments as needed to meet facility requirements.
• Participate in holiday rotation and inclement weather team assignments.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required.
• Familiarity with various types of surgical cases preferred, including Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, Transplant, and GYN.
• National certifications such as CBSPD and/or HSPA are required.

Parking is available for a one-time fee during nights and weekends.
