Your Role at Dollar Tree:

As a Store Manager in Training at Dollar Tree, youllengage inon-the-jobtraining to learnhow tomanagethe profitable operations of your assigned store by maintaining a high standard for merchandising, placement,andstore signage andbyusing proper display techniques to create an inviting atmosphere for customers.Yourday-to-day job dutiesas a Store Manager willinclude, but are not limited to, the following:

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers

• Foster the growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandisingwhilecoachingand correcting when appropriate

• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations

• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures

• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed

• Implement operational and merchandising direction that is communicated fromour corporate headquarters

• Help your store reach itsmaximum profit contribution

• Protect company assets

• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store

• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders

Your Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experienceis preferred

• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise;BIG BOX experience a plusis preferred

• Strong productivity management in freight processingis required

• Strong communication, interpersonal,and written skillsarerequired

• Ability to work in a high-energy,team environmentis required

• Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation is required
