Apply NowSaint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 650+ provider multispecialty group that has an excellent opportunity for a Geriatrician to join a very unique multidisciplinary team-based clinic. This team supports our Memory Center and Geriatrics Consult Clinic and is comprised of Geriatricians, Neurologists, Geriatric Psychiatrist, Advanced Practice Practitioners, Social Workers, Pharmacists, and a Chaplain. We have clinics in Boise, Nampa (20 minutes from Boise) and Eagle (15 minutes from Boise). Interested Physicians may potentially work from any of these locations, opt to work inpatient with our G60 program and choose to engage in teaching as an attending to a Geriatric fellow, residents, and medical students on geriatric rotations.
Well-qualified candidates should be passionate and knowledgeable about older adults health issues, possess a geriatric consultation with an organization committed to high-quality and compassionate care, healing the body, mind and spirit. This is a full time role with a traditional weekday schedule consisting of a 4-day work week with direct face-to-face patient care and 1 day dedicated for administrative responsibilities; a minimum of 34 hours of patient contact time.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of osteopathy (DO) degree
- Successful completion of an accredited internal medicine or family medicine residency program
- Geriatrics Expertise:
- Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatric Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), or
- Certification of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatric Medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or
- Certification in the Subspecialty of Geriatric Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), or
- Obtain such certification within 3 years of employment, or
- Ten years of practice experience devoted primarily to the care of older patients
- Idaho medical license, registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA (controlled substances), privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center
